JASPER'S WAY (2) filled a placing in the 1600m Parkes Cup two back then franked that form with an eye-catching third in a Rosehill Highway over 1500m a fortnight ago. No luck once again at the barrier draw but if things fall his way he is clearly the one to beat. EGYPTOLOGIST (3) made it two all-the-way wins from his last three starts when he held on gamely over 1800m at Hawkesbury last time out. Good weight carrier who will roll along and prove a tough bunny to catch. WEST HEAD (8) has been about the mark at all three runs this time in work, the latest when just behind the placings over the mile at Parkes. Should be peaking at this stage of the prep. STRASSMAN (9) narrowly missed the hat trick when he charged home late but missed by a head over this trip at Parkes four weeks ago. Going too well to leave out of calculations. SEBILLA (4) has won three from five at this trip so expect her to improve on her first-up effort over 1300m at Narromine.
