Speedy two-year-old RUBELIN (4) ran her rivals off their legs in a dominant display last start over 1100m at Dubbo. Gets to this trip for the first time and does take on older horses but she might just prove too slick again. MAY BE BUBBLES (5) returned from a five-month spell with a commanding maiden win over 1000m at this track a fortnight ago. Lightly raced filly who looks like reaching new heights this time in work. ZOUFIELD (1) has been easily accounted for in his last three runs, all in town. Those outings had been well spaced but he is on a six-day turnaround here. Can bounce back against inferior opposition. TROPIC (2) is back after a 19-week spell. Led all the way to win his maiden first-up over 1280m at Gilgandra last prep. Nicely drawn and should be prominent for a long way. DEMARCATE (3) has encountered a couple of deep races of late. On trial at this distance but he looks up to the task.
