LITTERAL (6) peaked late on her run when finishing fifth in her first run in the South Island for a new trainer. That race would have brought her condition on, and on what she showed when trained in the North Island, she should be hard to beat this time, despite a wide gate. BELLATRIX (7) makes her South Island debut after showing promise earlier in the year in the North. Her only win came on a heavy track, and she will have no trouble measuring up in this field, especially if the money comes for her. MOMENTO (9) has only battled in 2 starts since winning her maiden impressively at Ashburton in April. She may not want it too wet, and if she gets conditions to suit, then she can figure in the top 4. Stick with her. DRAGON BISCUIT (1) is proving to be hard to catch, but this is the right race for him, and Tina Comignaghi sticks with him. Each way. MAGNASTAR (2) has been thereabouts in all 4 starts this prep, and he will be at his peak fitness now. Include in all top 4 combos.
