VINTAGE STAR (3) disappointed when in the market here last time but was good two back. Gets a key switch to Toeroek, who often gets the best out of him. Bold showing anticipated fourth up. LOSEYATOETOE (7) returns and while she’s yet to score fresh, she made a solid return here last campaign when beaten 1.7L into fourth. Has jumped out well in readiness and gets a key booking in Holder. NOSTRYIA (5) never looked likely on the main track last week when always well back, but was a determined winner here at the midweeks before that. Mixing his form but right up to this on his peaks. THE MAGISTRATE (8) is going better than his form reads and doesn’t need to improve much down at this weight to be right there late. GRAND HOST (1) hasn’t won for a long time but is knocking on the door and deserves each-way respect.
