PANTA RHEI (7) returned from a seven-month spell with a game effort last start over 1000m at Warren, leading until the dying stages. Sure to cope with this slightly longer trip. Perfectly drawn and is going to take some catching. ROTHGATE (2) filled a minor placing three times in a row then was shuffled back last time out over 1200m at Warren and couldn't make up the deficit. Drops in grade today and gets all the favours from an inside gate. Can bounce back. ENSIGN PARKER (3) travelled on the pace and held on well for third when resuming over 1200m at Scone recently. Doesn't boast the greatest second-up record but he looks to back firing on all cylinders so must be included. FRANKIE'S SHOUT (4) was game in defeat first-up over 1000m at Gunnedah. Needs luck from a sticky gate but can build on that effort over this longer journey. TORENDOSETTA (5) has won two in a row here at the trip - it would be brave to rule him out in this form.
