MERRIAMA (11) has been racing well on the firmer track at Ruakaka recently, and should get similar track conditions here as well. She cops a wide gate, but is only up a kilo from her last start second, so stick with her on top at a decent price. SWEET ICE (3) had a rocky run in transit fresh up at Ruakaka last start and got back too far before running on without a chance 3 weeks ago. He strips fitter second up, and with 2.5kg less to carry, he can be a quick improver in this. JURISPRUDENCE (4) has found it hard to win another race, but he fought on gamely when finishing third last time out for the second time in a row. He likes it here, and another honest effort is on the cards. MARANELLO (5) got back off a wide gate and ran on too late at Otaki just over 5 weeks ago. He may have to go back again from another tough gate, but he will be steaming home again. Follow your money. DROMMY (1) is a promising gelding who is bred to continue to improve with racing. Stick with him.
