Went back from the wide gate before launching late with a respectable fourth over 900m at Newcastle. Kept fresh and no shock to see her finish over the top of these. SHAMBRETTA (4) continued his consistent form when returning with a dominant victory over 900m at Newcastle in fast time. Undefeated this track and trip and will be charging late. FORMAL (2) underrated gelding resuming. Came to the end of his prep when a tiring eighth over 1100m at Rosehill in BM72 class last June. Comes to hand quickly and his latest trial placing over 1000m at Newcastle had merit. Leading player. HYDROMETER (3) lightly raced gelding resuming. Comes to hand quickly and wasn't pushed out in his two trials. Goes well on his home track.
