This race has been knocked around by scratchings which leaves CAPTAIN CAT (1) as a hot favourite. He's been consistent all prep, again found one marginally better last start over 1600m at Bairnsdale after being prominent throughout. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. GEE AND TEE (7) is progressing well, last time out finishing third over 2100m at Horsham after being in the firing line on the corner. Faces an easier assignment so she is ready to find the winners' list. PACIFIC PIXIE (12) was a big improver last start and can springboard off that here from a good draw. I'M MIM (9) hasn't hit the board in three runs this prep, but nearing peak fitness now and this race has fallen away a touch.
