HINEKAHA (9) was good enough to win at Stakes level in her initial campaign as a 3-year-old and looks to be on target for another profitable season after winning a recent Taupo trial very comfortably. A wide gate is no help, but she is good enough to win in this company fresh up. ROCKING (11) won her maiden here in her penultimate start by half a length and then took the next step straight away when scoring a big win by over 4 lengths a fortnight ago on this track. The hat-trick beckons. ELLE MCFAB (12) ruined her chances by racing too keenly in front here last time out, weakening in the run home to finish seventh. Her gutsy win prior is the guide to use, and she can make amends. TAKESHI (3) ended his last prep with a tough all the way win at Trentham by a head in late March. He looked trim when winning a recent trial, and with the advantage of the pole position, he is right in this. RIBKRAKA (5) has the fitness edge over his main rivals and should be included in all multiples.
