HAZE (8) tough, versatile gelding kept fresh for this. Far from disgraced from the awkward draw when eighth over 2400m at Randwick in BM78 class. Has a good record at this trip and finds a more suitable contest. NOMORENIGHTSHIFT (5) three runs back in town have been okay and he doesn't have to improve much to win this. First run at the mile ran eighth at Warwick Farm from the awkward draw. Set to peak and looks to have genuine each-way prospects. TAIPAN LEGEND (9) kept fresh after resuming with a slashing third over 1200m a month ago at this track. Kept ticking over with a recent 950m trial at Tamworth. No shock to see him give a ton of cheek over this distance. TAINUI (3) has gone to a new level this time in and he gets a much better setup today. Snagged back from the draw and launched late when a narrow second over 1600m in the Gilgandra Cup. Can race a little closer and not to be underestimated.
