Verdict

Victorian raider FREIGHT TRAIN (12) is a big chance in a wide-open affair. Settled well back then attacked the line well to just miss the placings last time out over 2000m at Caulfield. Very fit gelding who drops 4kgs today and although untested in the going deserves the benefit of the doubt. KIND WORDS (7) came from a minute back and might have been unlucky not to win Cormac T's race at Scone a fortnight ago. Rock hard fit after four runs back from a spell and if they can make ground this late in the day she is a decent chance. CORMAC T (8) had to dig deep to keep the swoopers at bay over 1700m at Scone last start. Carries the same weight today after Nock's claim and can improve at only the third run of the campaign. PROMITTO (1) just failed in the Cormac T race at Scone. Gets some nice weight relief today and is a genuine threat with a bit of luck from the tricky draw. Last start Warwick Farm winner SEAFALL (4) has won two from two at this stage of the prep so must be considered.
