MOGO MAGIC (2) returned from a short spell with an encouraging effort over 1000m at Canberra last start in open company, beaten under a length after racing on the speed. Boom has been lowered somewhat but he is back in good shape it seems and he is better than these on his day. HUON (3) scored here first-up then might have been looking for more ground when easily accounted for over 1100m at Canterbury last time. Senior rider on, love the Kenso, and the longer race has been found. Serious contender. ZOURIPPER (8) pulled up lame so his last start failure at Rosehill is best overlooked. Won a BM72 over 1200m here two back. In contention if he finds that form. VERBIL (11) chimed in late but missed by a whisker over this trip at Newcastle recently. Gets McDonald and blinkers on for this which is sure to attract plenty of market interest. SYDNEY BOWLER (6) caught the eye late first-up at Canterbury and can progress from that effort.
