Has a wide gate to deal with but he does possess the gate speed to cross. Looks ready to win. THE SIMPLE LIFE (12) is a 24-start maiden which is concerning, but her figure two back when runner-up at this track and trip stacks up nicely against this field. Drawn to advantage so she gets her chance. KOOKY (2) showed good early speed then battled on well to hold third when resuming in a similar maiden to this here 16 days ago. Doesn't always back it up at the second run back but she still looks one of the better hopes based on that encouraging return. BIRDY GIRL (3) is back from a four-month spell. Closed the maiden campaign with three consecutive minor placings, albeit all on rain-affected tracks. Take on trust that she can perform as well on top of the ground. DAM IMPACT (9) disappointed over 1200m here last time but can improve back to five furlongs.
