STAR VALOUR (9) dug deep to score a deserved maiden win here at the latest. Rises sharply in trip off 26-day gap. No reason he can't go right on with it now. TOORAK BLAZE (10) is yet to threaten in his two runs back when tackling shorter trips, settling a fair way off them on both occasions. The booking of Crowther over a sharp rise in distance creates some intrigue. Can give this a shake. TUFF OPERATOR (12) is still a maiden. Only got going very late in the piece after making the turn a mile back. Will drift back but can give them a big scare late under the light weight with the 3kg claimer engaged. KING HALSTON (3) has found the second win elusive but should find this easier. Nearing his peak with three runs under his belt and is among the main hopes.
