Turns out she was completely out of her depth, beating just one home at 200/1 in the G2 Let's Elope Stks, but she was a good first-up winner at Geelong the start prior and the step up to 1600m here also looks beneficial. GARNACHO (8) is a horse who has won at Flemington before and while he has been racing well below his best at two runs this time in, he'll be better for the two runs back and will relish getting back to 1600m. FEARLESS WRITER (11) should be nearing peak fitness after three runs back, each of them in town. There was market support at double-figure odds last time, which suggests she might be ready for a peak performance. MASTERFUL (3) has also been going around in town and but his chances might have been cruelled by the draw. BLAZING SWORD (4) is one of few last-start winners in the field and draws well.
