The main race of the day, which looks a fascinating affair with a couple of runners backing up after placing in Country Cups last Friday. I AM THE EMPIRE (1) is one of those and he comes through the stronger of those two events, the Benalla Cup, where he finished third, beaten just 1.5 lengths by Plymouth. Up 5kg here and has a wide gate, but that's easily the strongest formline. RICH CHAMPAGNE (5) has run a couple of third placings in BM70 grade at Sandown this time in and while this is a step up in grade, he's ready to peak third-up and has drawn beautifully. ANY LUCK (3) is the other Country Cup placegetter from last week, finishing runner-up at Coleraine, and while this looks tougher than that she was only second-up last week. BUZZAROON (6) is in white-hot form with three-straight wins and while this is his toughest test he's going too well to dismiss. GOLIOTUS (4) also rises in grade but is racing consistently and has won two of three here.
