TALENT SCOUT (12) is a Bivouac gelding from the McEvoy camp who showed enough at the jumpouts to suggest he would run well on debut and that he did, finishing third beaten less than a length. The benefit of that run, step up to 1600m and drawing the inside with Linda Meech aboard make him clear top pick. EMPEROR TZU (11) is getting deep into the debut prep now, but you can see why the stable is persisting because he's run well at all five starts and there's not a stack of depth here. Similar story with JOTOPELI (5), who looks well drawn. MISS MAVERICK (10) also draws well and has run improved races at her past two, so might be ready to strike. NIKEPHOROS (6) is on the back-up after being just over a length last Friday and can go on with it here.
