PLACENTIA BAY (11) is a lightly raced type who looks very much suited rising to 2040m now, having stuck on gamely when headed at Mornington over 1600m last time. He's certainly bred to stay and the Ciaron Maher stable will have him fit for this. He'll roll forward, control the pace and should prove very hard to catch. TOMMY (1) resumed with a strong run at this track over 1519m, sticking on for fourth. His best form is right up to winning this and the rise in trip suits. EXOPIPI (10) has been racing well in South Australia, placing at her past two. She can measure up nicely. ALMONTI (4) is a consistent type who has been around the mark without winning of late. He maps well here and can figure. MISHARE (9) next best.
