Tough edition of the Moe Cup. HOWLIN' RAIN (5) is third up here and ready to peak. He went from 1700m to 1600m second up and ran well at Mornington in the Peninsula Cup when strong late, suggesting he's crying out for a trip which he now gets. STAR VEGA (3) was just fair fresh on heavy ground in the Sale Cup over a mile. Fitter now and while we haven't seen it for a bit, his best would go awfully close. REGAL LION (6) won the Mortlake Cup last time out in a solid return to form. Rates well off that performance but he will need to back it up which could be the query. GHETTO SUPASTAR (11) is knocking on the door and while he's likely to get back in the run, he'll be storming home late.
