MEH KEFFI (12) didn't have the best of it at Caulfield Heath on debut, but it was a tidy effort. He'd looked good at the trials leading into that and will have taken fitness and learning. EBONY FIGHTER (9) gave away a start at Colac on debut but finished it off okay beaten 2.8L. She will be fitter and is drawn a better gate. Sure to keep improving. MADAM EXCELS (11) has his third outing for a leading metro barn and will get better with racing. Has a wide gate but quick improvement won't surprise. THANK GOD I GOTHIM (2) will find this more suitable than Moonee Valley. Doubt there's any more upside in this preparation, but he's racing well enough. SHE'S BRUTAL (13) draws even wider but showed enough on debut to consider.
