JUNGLE LOVE (3) was well in the market when resuming with a big finishing second at Otaki nearly a month ago, and her stable is just starting to fire up again. She cops another tricky gate, but with a dip in class, she is good enough to shoulder more weight and go one better. EVER CHARM (6) has not won for some time, but he has been thereabouts all prep. He has been doing his best work late recently and was only beaten by a nose in his penultimate start. If the gaps come at the right time, he can have the last say. BASSOROC (4) has a tough trip wide at Te Aroha last time out and was only overwhelmed late after hitting the front early in the run home. She gets a nice swing in her draw and is likely to figure in the top 4 this time. THE NOMAD (2) bounced straight back into form when finishing third at Arawa Park 5 weeks ago. Stick with him for all combos. DID THE TRICK (7) did not fire at Ellerslie last start, and he seems to prefer racing in this direction. He is worth another chance.
