FLICK ROLL (4) had been terribly costly earlier in her career but finally broke through at start No 14 in what was a stronger-than-standard maiden. Made her own luck there and now that she has a taste for victory she might be able to go on with it. VIPERION (11) was dealt no favours whatsoever at the barrier draw but has been a model of consistency in similar races to this so only needs luck in running to be a factor again. TORN (3) is only new to the Brisbourne stable and his horses tend to improve with racing so expect a better showing here. CEEJAY (1) struggles to win but often places, although the wide draw could make things tough. MAHJING (9), on the other hand, comes into it from the low draw.
