This is a race where the first-starters can be expected to play a big part. MYSTIC REIGN (12) has looked a smooth mover at the Cranbourne jumpouts and the horse she beat at her most recent one (Astral Flame) was heavily-backed into $2.80 favourite at Sandown on Wednesday, finishing a 1.3-length third. The trouble for the 'trial perves' is that SHARING MOMENTS (13) has looked equally as good. Was edged out by Miss Celine at her latest jumpout but looked to travel than the Debutant Stks winner throughout that workout. She's drawn out, whereas Mystic Reign has drawn in, which could prove the difference. NICABUK (4) showed rapid improvement first-up and can go on with it here. INKAANTOON (11) too ran the best race of its career last time, but has a horror gate to deal with. EXPLOSIVE WEATHER (15) has had a few goes but a recent Stawell jumpout win suggested he has come back well and could run a cheeky race at a price.
