VEGAS ON FIRE (8) continues to race well and looks ready to break through after back-to-back placings. Has enough early speed to offset the wide early and be prominent again. Should prove hard to hold out. JAZ TYCOON (4) has also strung together consecutive placings. Racing well and gets another chance to strike. ATAEGINA (7) worked home fairly into fourth over the mile at Moe last start and is better suited here. Capable of figuring in the finish. HYDROGEN POWER (1) was much better last start at Mildura. Meech piloting from the inside alley reads favourably. Don't underestimate. VEE ROD (9) doesn't win out of turn but rarely turns in a poor effort. Can sneak into the frame.
