Provincial maidens don't come much weaker than this. BLUE SUEDE HOOVES (2) off the back of a first-up placing over 1000m at Port Macquarie gets the nod. Found the line strongly that day so an extra furlong second-up appears ideal. SAVANNA GOLDEN BOY (7) has been kept fresh since a moderate effort four weeks ago over 1300m at Wyong where he tired late to finish midfield. Six-year-old who is yet to place in eight starts yet appeals in this line-up. GYRA (6) is back from an 18-week break and has transferred from Ciaron Maher to Nikki Pollock. Opened last prep with a distant third in a small field at Kembla then went to Victoria and failed twice. Recent trial placegetter who is not out of the equation. Gai and Adrian saddle up a couple of first starters in CANADIAN FLING (3) and JAMAICAN QUEEN (4). Both have plenty of trial experience, although nothing we have seen suggests they are stars. Let the betting tell the story.
