Modest maiden to kick off the card. Forecasting some improvement from TENACIOUS ZEUS (12), who had one run as a two-year-old before being sent for a break. He's drawn well and has tactical speed to either lead or camp just off the pace. He looks a genuine winning chance. I AM RALPH (4) has placed in two of his eight starts and was OK first-up when finding the line over 1050m. Murtagh sticks and 1200m suits. ALLROUNDGOODGUY (1) looks the other key winning chance. He went close to breaking his maiden last campaign over 1200m and his recent trial suggests he's come back better. He's another that can make his own luck and be put in the firing line early. SIR MONICA (8) might be able to improve second-up, while BRUSHSTROKE BHOY (11) could be the best of the debutants.
