The St Leger. Tricky affair. LITZDEEL (11) has a good grounding for 2800m having run well over 2000m against the older horses at Ballarat before a solid effort over 2400m at Caulfield when third. A good staying trainer prepares her and she can roll forward. WEST INDIES (5) has placed in both runs back from a spell. He made it through to a Victoria Derby last year when outclassed but that experience should hold him in good stead here. PROCHESTER (6) comes over from New Zealand and makes interest. Third in the G3 Manawatu Classic last time out, he shouldn't be discounted. TSITSIPAS (1) won two in a row before tackling the ATC Derby, out of his depth there. This suits better. KICKING KING (2) can be whacking away late.
