Verdict

TUXEDO (6) made up a stack of late ground when finishing second fresh up over 1400m in the G3 J Swap Sprint nearly 3 weeks ago. He won't get as far back from a superior draw, and the step up to a mile is the perfect next step. He is good enough to go one better here. THE SCUNNER (3) is bringing up some impressive Central Districts form, and won impressively in G3 company at Trentham nearly 4 weeks ago. He is having his first run in a clockwise direction, but can repeat the dose. SHE'S A DEALER (9) is another very progressive type who will be chasing a hat-trick of wins after showing a good turn of foot to score by a length at Te Rapa in BM75 grade last start. She is unbeaten on this track, and if she is not already looking for a middle distance, then she can get the job done again. MIDNIGHT EDITION (2) can't be faulted for his consistency, and his win in the G3 Concorde at Pukekohe was full of merit. Can win again, especially if the track is wet. SMART LOVE (11) can't be ignored.
