DANCING SPIRIT (7) was beaten 1.4L at Albany on debut coming with a big run from back in the field. She has been well-trialled and the gun hoop stays aboard. The blinkers go straight on today and with the extra fitness she can break through. DARK OPAL (3) raced at Albany on the same day and disappointed as a $2.6F. She's only been beaten 1.5L at Ascot first up prior and that reads well. The inside barrier is there to use and she deserves another chance. MAGGIE JEAN (5) was only beaten 2L at Ascot first-up last preparation and resumes owning a Belmont trial win. Maps well and has the ability. The betting will be key. MAHLER'S MELODY (10), SO MANY STORIES (6) and WORKING CLASS GIRL (11) all resume for the Pearce yard. They have trialled well and we're likely to see improved efforts from them.
