IRAYCHOUX (5) is a lightly-raced improver who just missed here second-up over a mile. Presents fitter and gives every indication that the step up to the middle distance will suit. Maps well and will get every chance. MACHO ARQUERO (1) gives away starts, but he just missed at Belmont and Pinjarra before a plainer run at Ascot last time. The blinkers and tongue tie both go on again, and he draws more favourably this time. He's running out of chances, but this is within his reach on the 8-day backup. SIN CITY BOY (8) was only beaten 2.6L in the Iraychoux race and didn't get it easy. Peaks now and the middle distance should hold no fears. GILES (3) came from the back and wasn't beaten too far at Ascot over 1800m at big odds. That was his first show of form since the switch from a top Victorian yard.
