AMERICAN ESCAPE (7) was only beaten 2.2L in Stakes grade before the spell and was quickly back on track, beaten a whisker at Northam second-up. Keeps the gun hoop and the inside barrier will advantage. She has more to offer and can go one better. MANHATTAN STRIP (5) won a CL5 at Northam first up and hasn't missed a beat. He'd come off a trial win and has been freshened for this. He also draws low, and 2x winning rider Chris Parnham replaced Pike. He's good enough. HAMMARMILL (6) will give away a start but has pieces of form that stack up and will be finishing the race off. ANOTHER STRIKE (3) has been racing in stronger and is proven third-up. Has the blinkers on for the first time, and his best would give him a hope.
