QUICK SHOT (9) had her first run for more than seven weeks when a tiring seventh in heavy ground over 1400m at this track last start. Strips fitter, gets out to a preferable trip, and is down in grade - plenty to like about her prospects. HARRIET (11) is improving each time she steps out this prep. Went to the lead last start and battled on well but was beaten by a promising stayer over 1550m at Murwillumbah. At her peak now and this slightly longer trip is a plus. WOODLAND WONDER (5) is back from a ten-week lay-off. Form before the break was patchy, with the highlight a dominant maiden win over 1710m at Grafton. Good enough if forward enough. CAVALHEIRO (1) could be the surprise packet following some modest performances in much shorter races.
