FEEL THE STAG (2) is knocking on the door and has placed twice in three starts in his initial campaign, most recently as the favourite over 1200m at Ellerslie, finishing less than a length from the winner. He cops a wide gate, but he is still expected to be the one to beat. HORRIE (1) resumed from a spell with a solid third over 1200m at Matamata nearly 4 weeks ago, staying in contention around the bend, and fighting on gamely.
