DAME COMMANDER (9) resumed last start in the Group 3 Carr Stakes over 1400m at Randwick and did a great job to be beaten just two lengths by the smart filly Lilac. Scored an easy win second-up last prep over 1500m at Kembla. Progressive filly who has the class to take this out. MISTERKIPCHOGE (7) put the writing on the wall at the Kensington track last time out when he drove hard but just missed at the end of 1800m. Placed two from two second-up. Coming back in trip is the only query. AUNTY RENE (12) returned to form over 1500m at Newcastle recently, making up many lengths to grab third. Yet to place in five runs here is the concern, but her figures suggest she should be competitive. Genuine four-year-old VILLASAURUS (5) comes here off a comfortable win at Albury when fresh from a forty-seven-day break. Good weight carrier who can never be underestimated. HIGH DANDY (1) has done nothing in two runs this prep but does drop a little in grade today. Likely improver.
