ALPINE COWGIRL (6) is off a letup for this and back in trip but has been consistent in four runs to date, placing in three. The effort two back here over 1600m rated well and if she's freshened up nicely she'll be hard to hold out. MOMETZ (3) had done some solid things in his maiden campaign before resuming with another encouraging effort here when beaten under a length over 1200m, albeit in a field of four. Fitter for that and the rise in trip suits. STYLISH PRINCE (4) ran a good race on debut at Kilmore, struggling badly as a $1.50 favourite at Kyneton when dropping out. Back in trip may prove beneficial and loath to write him off after one bad run. MADAM GRISELDA (9) can mix her form but the run two back at Pakenham gives her claims. ZAMPARINI SPIRIT (5) was solid fresh at Geelong and is in the mix.
