Prize Terms and Conditions – “Poker Wins – Your Journey to Monte Carlo Starts Here!” tournament

“Poker Wins – Your Journey to Monte Carlo Starts Here!” tournament (“Tournament”) will take place on April 13, 2025, at 19:00 BRT and will have a buy-in of $5.50. In addition to these Prize Terms and Conditions, the general customer terms, tournament rules and the live events terms apply to the participation in the Tournament.

Publicity

  1. The winner may be selected by us to participate in publicity activity for Staruniv. When you choose to participate in the Tournament, you agree to participate in, and cooperate with Staruniv in relation to, all publicity activity reasonably requested by Staruniv in connection with the Tournament, the Prize (as defined below), EPT Monte Carlo 2025 and/or Staruniv.
  1. Staruniv will own the copyright in any publicity materials in which the winner (including their image and voice) appears and, when you participate in any publicity activity in accordance with the previous paragraph, you agree and confirm that Staruniv can use, copy, modify, distribute and publish the publicity materials however it chooses and for any purpose connected with the Tournament, the Prize (as defined below), EPT Monte Carlo 2025 and/or Staruniv, without having to pay you or obtain any additional permission from you.

Who is eligible?

Participants in the Tournament must be resident in Brazil and have a verified and validated account on starsuni.ac.id.

Prize Description

The player who comes in first place in the Tournament will win a Silver Pass worth $2500 (“Prize”) consisting of the following:

  • 1x €1100 Staruniv Open Monte-Carlo Main Event entry.
  • 1x €550 Staruniv Cup entry.
  • Return economy class flights from Brazil to Monte-Carlo for the winner and one companion.
  • Accommodation with breakfast (to be selected by Staruniv) in Monte-Carlo for the winner and one companion. Check-in on 3 May 2025 and check-out on 7 May 2025.
  • Limited edition merchandise.
  • Live event liaison support.
  • Exclusive Staruniv Open Monte-Carlo activities.

How to redeem a prize 

  1. The winner will receive a confirmation pop-up message. To redeem their Prize, the winner must visit the ‘Power Path’ tab in the Staruniv client or mobile app and follow the steps, as described below.
  2. To redeem their Prize, the winner must register for the EPT Monte-Carlo. Once registered, they will receive an email from the Staruniv Live Events team to their registered email address with more information.
  3. The Prize expires on 10 May 2025 after the conclusion of EPT Monte-Carlo. All elements of the Prize are strictly non-transferable, non-exchangeable and may not be re-sold. No cash or any other alternative is available for any element of the Prize. 
  4. If any element of the Prize become unavailable, or if the winner is unable to use/take part in any element of the Prize, for any reason beyond Staruniv’ reasonable control, Staruniv is not obliged to offer an alternative prize or any cash alternative or compensation. 
  5. The Prize is valid for EPT Monte-Carlo only.

Prize T&Cs

  1. The winner’s companion must be aged 18 or over.
  2. Only the elements of the Prize that the Prize description states are available to the winner’s companion as well as to the winner will be made available to the winner’s companion.
  3. Any requirements and obligations relating to the fulfilment of the Prize set out in these Prize Terms and Conditions that apply to the winner will also apply the winner’s companion.
  4. The winner and their companion must attend the activities and/or events included in the Prize together (unless the Prize description states that a particular element of the Prize is available to the winner only) and must travel together.
  5. Travel can only be arranged from Brazil.
  6. The Prize does not include any costs, taxes, fees, expenses and/or arrangements not expressly specified in the Prize description above. The winner is solely responsible for, and Staruniv will not be liable to reimburse the winner for, any such additional charges and expenses.
  7. The winner must make their travel arrangements through Staruniv’ designated agent and use the carriers and providers selected by Staruniv or its designated agent. The winner must follow the itinerary provided by Staruniv or its designated agent.
  8. It is the responsibility of the winner to check any requirements for the airline, transport provider, hotel, event venue and any other supplier providing elements of the Prize. The winner is bound by, and must comply with, any terms and conditions set out on their event and travel tickets and the rules, regulations, requirements and policies of the transport provider, hotel, event venue, event promoter and any other supplier connected with the Prize. Staruniv is not responsible for any failure of the winner to gain entry or re-entry to the transport, hotel and/or event, or to participate in any element of the Prize, due to any action/inaction on the part of the winner.
  9. It is the responsibility of the winner to check and ensure that they satisfy all security requirements in relation to travel (including all requirements relating to passports and other documentation). Staruniv has no liability if the winner is refused entry because they do not satisfy such requirements and the winner is solely responsible for all costs associated with refused entry.
  10. It is the responsibility of the winner to check any travel advisories relating to the travel destination and to determine what action to take in relation to any such advisories. Staruniv has no liability if the winner does not make such checks, if they choose to travel despite the advice given in any relevant advisory or if they choose not to travel on the advice given in any relevant advisory (in which case Staruniv will not be obliged to offer a substitute prize).
  11. It is the responsibility of the winner to check whether any vaccinations and/or prescription medicines are recommended or required prior to travel and Staruniv has no liability in this respect.
  12. It is the responsibility of the winner to take out their own travel insurance in connection with their Prize. Staruniv will have no liability for any failure by the winner to take out travel insurance and/or to comply with the terms and conditions of their travel insurance policy.
  13. Staruniv has no liability for lost or stolen tickets, vouchers, certificates and/or other documentation connected with the Prize.
  14. All elements of the Prize are strictly non-transferable, non-exchangeable and may not be re-sold. No cash or any other alternative is available for any element of the Prize. No alternative dates are available.
  15. If any element of the Prize becomes unavailable, or if the winner is unable to use/take part in any element of the Prize, for any reason beyond Staruniv’ reasonable control, Staruniv is not obliged to offer an alternative prize or any cash alternative or compensation. If the winner is unable to go on the trip to EPT Monte-Carlo 2025, the entire Prize package will be forfeited and offered to another player in the Tournament in the order of the Tournament results, until a winner who is able to attend is found.
  16. The winner must not do anything that may bring Staruniv, any of its group companies or its commercial partners into disrepute. Staruniv reserves the right to take appropriate action (including the removal of any element of the Prize) if the winner acts in a way that Staruniv reasonably considers to bring Staruniv, any of its group companies or its commercial partners into disrepute.
  17. Staruniv is not liable for any loss, theft, damage or injury caused or sustained by the winner as a result of participating in their Prize (except that Staruniv will be liable for death or personal injury arising from Staruniv’ negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation).
  18. The Prize may be replaced with a substitute prize of equal or greater value, if circumstances beyond Staruniv’ control make it necessary to do so.
