SMART LOVE (7) progressed nicely in his initial prep and capped off some solid form with a maiden win here by a head over a mile. She has had a couple of tune-up trials, and if she doesn't already want more ground, then she is the one to beat, especially with Opie Bosson picking up the ride. FAT CAT (8) has been kept on ice since leading all the way for a soft win at Waverley just over 7 weeks ago. He has plenty of pace and could take some pegging back again. TIMETOPLAYTHEGAME (3) has been racing well, with his racing well-spaced over the winter months. He won his only race on his home track here, and he is a must for all combinations. SWEET ICE (9) led all the way to win on debut as a juvenile. He spelled after failing to cop a heavy track in his only run last prep, and he can give this a shake fresh up, especially with Warren Kennedy in the saddle. HIGHLY ANTICIPATED (6) was a touch disappointing at Ruakaka when ridden off the pace. She seems better in front, so stick with her.
