FEEL THE STAG (3) finally paid the believers when scoring a well-deserved maiden win at Avondale on a very heavy track there just over 3 weeks ago. A better surface won't worry him, and he can take the next step immediately. MISTER MEANER (6) was very brave when finishing second by a nose after having a very tough trip at Ellerslie 2 weeks ago. The form from that race will stack up nicely, and he can go one better here. HARD ROCA (18) was not far off the winner in eighth at Ellerslie 8 weeks ago. The form from that race has since been franked multiple times, and he is expected to bounce straight back into the money here. OSTERIA (7) finished out of the money in the same race as the fourth pick, but he was also not far away. He gets a nice swing in his draw this time, and a form reversal is on the cards. TRANZED (8) is a talented gelding resuming from a spell. He comes to hand quickly, and even from a wicked draw, he is still a top 4 threat in this.
