SPIELE (4) got a long way back and couldn't get involved when resuming in open company at Moruya over 1300m last start. Has a fine record here and is down significantly in grade. Watch for a far better run with the help of a perfect gate. TOMMY FLYER (3) led from the outset and gave nothing else a chance when resuming over 1200m at Queanbeyan last time out. Not the same horse away from his home track but looks to be back in the best shape of his career. Stick with him. MISS DEFY (6) settled back in a small field and only made minor inroads when resuming over 1300m at Canberra recently. Lightly raced mare with plenty of scope for improvement. AZZUCCA (8) won a strong maiden over this trip at Wagga two back then progressed nicely last start when runner-up at Canberra. In the mix again with the help of a favourable draw. FIRE AND GEMSTONE (2) has been about the money of late and does race well here so don't take him lightly.
