DAVID MOSS (7) needs galloping room to show his best and was late clear when finishing fourth here 5 weeks ago over a mile. He can stay well out of trouble from a wide draw here, and in a very even contest, he should be among the hardest to beat. CALIFORNIA GOLD (2) has found it hard to win another race and has not been over-taxed with racing throughout his career. He is resuming without a trial, and any positive market moves will be worth following. FREEDOM REINS (11) ran a much better race second up at Riccarton 11 days ago on the poly track there when finishing fourth. He won his only start on this track and relishes wet ground. All of his 3 wins have been over a mile, and he is ready to put his best hoof forward. Can win. IRISH MISS (13) was a tough winner here 5 weeks ago and then ran on strongly for fourth at Ashburton last time out. Bridget Grylls sticks with her, and so do we.
