FINE SHOT (7) has been racing well in stronger races and didn't have the best of it as favourite at Rockhampton last time stepping up to a mile. Has to come back 300m, but he can manage, and 35% stable-striker Butler stays aboard. Three back, he was only beaten 1.8L in a $150,000 Gold Coast Quality. KATHY'S BEAU (5) resumed with a nose defeat this grade at Rockhampton and then was poor there (vet cleared). He will be back on the speed today and has more to give. LOGAN STREET LION (2) resumes and has switched from the Waller yard in Brisbane. He's been racing over further in Town and has won twice fresh. He's trialled well at Rockhampton, and the betting will be key. TRACK TALE (3) found the grade a bit tough last time but won comfortably prior and will be around the mark with a clever Wiggins ride.
