Tricky. RIPPER RUPERT (8) resumed here further improved winning a CL1 before tackling an Open 3 at Ascot beaten less than 3L. He will be fitter again and will enjoy a soft run from an inside gate. Pike rides for the first time and that's a decent push for his chances. GIRLS ON FIRE (7) resumes and is right up to this if presented forward. Profiles similarly to the above and has trialled twice at Lark Hill. She has placed fresh and the betting will guide to her readiness. AMERICAN ESCAPE (6) was within range twice at Ascot but then missed the jump here 10 days ago and was never in the hunt. Has won 2/3 this course and distance and can't be taken lightly. TOO MUCH TALK (1) resumes and has trialled well at Lark Hill. Finds easier grade with a 3kg claimer aboard but an awkward gate needs managing. He has his share of ability.
