Verdict

SCAMPI (3) had always promised to be a good horse without delivering, but really put it together with a dominant 5.5 length win at Ballarat last time out. That was only a 0-64 but his previous profile says he's right up to this. SAVAGERY VIBE (5) is a progressive filly who resumed with a solid win over 1000m at Pakenham. Second up last campaign she was beaten 2.75 lengths in a G2 Danehill Stakes (albeit finishing sixth). Can measure right up. FLUENT (7) measured up well in a Listed race in Adelaide last time won by Reserve Bank, who subsequently won the G2 Tobin Bronze last week and now heads to the G1 Goodwood. She can take a sit here and run a big race. JUST FOR SHOW (1) resumes. He's a talented horse who won three of four last time in. Pays a bit for that at the weights but has earned it. SYMPHONY OF COLOUR (6) was good fresh and is in the mix.
