FLAGSHIP (7) won his maiden as expected here in his penultimate start over 1200m and then raced too keenly over 1000m on this track 2 weeks ago. The key here is the extra 400m, and with a slight drop in class, he can bounce straight back into the money. BONDI PLUNGE (5) was close up when resuming from a spell and then challenged strongly on this track last time out, finishing third. She is a very consistent mare who has never missed a cheque in 4 starts third up in the past. She has the advantage of the pole position and deserves another winning turn. PLATINUM SHOT (4) has yet to win on this track but has been placed in 4 of her 6 starts here. She has William Pike in the saddle this time and only needs the right trip to break her duck. Stick with her. I AM SPARTACUS (1) has had some excuses in his last couple of starts, and this durable veteran did show at Esperance 3 starts back that he still has a zest for racing. Include in all combinations to be safe.
