REGULATED AFFAIR (6) raced wide without cover near the tail of the field before knuckling down impressively to be beaten a whisker on debut over 1100m at the Kensington track. Not seen since that appearance six weeks ago but has trialled. Will be hard to hold out. TYRONE'S POWER (9) began awkwardly and copped a check on the turn so his seventh on debut at Randwick can be excused. Worth another chance back at the midweekers. BOMBAY BOOM (2) resumes. Started at single figures at his two runs in the maiden campaign in better fields than this and wasn't far away on either occasion. Went well in a recent Canberra trial. Definite contender. ELLISMAYNE (3) is a Harry Angel gelding on debut for John Thompson. Trialled three times and keeps improving. Close market watch advised. Recent trial winner FERNWEH (5) hails from the Joe Pride stable and looks a ready to run type.
