Over the bigger fences for the Brierly. Good contest. DUKE OF BEDFORD (7) was edged out on resumption here before a dominant win at Pakenham over The Mighty Spar, scoring by seven lengths as a well-tried favourite. Back on level weights with that horse but still gets in well with 65kg and can measure right up. LEADERBOARD (2) is flying, winning his past two. He was far too good fresh at Ballarat before going to Pakenham in the J.E.H Spencer and doing it easily again as a $1.24 favourite with 71kg. Back in trip here but he gets in very nicely at the weights. PORT GUILLAUME (4) was behind Duke Of Bedford at Pakenham when well fancied to win. Can only imagine he'll be much fitter for that and he meets the winner better at the weights. NELSON (9) can run well, as can THE MIGHTY SPAR (6) who comes through the right lead ups.
