SIMPLY LUSCIOUS (12) backs up nine days after she led but found a couple better in the closing stages over this trip at Ballarat. This doesn't look as deep so with the help of the inside gate she gets her chance. The speedy MAJESTIC MAREMMA (8) has led for home but had to settle for the runner-up cheque at her last three runs, all at 900m. Should cross from the wide gate and race on the speed again. Hard to reel in around this tight circuit. BONSAFOX (7) travelled midfield but lacked a turn of foot when a modest sixth over 1200m at Echuca recently. Very fit mare who is nicely drawn and should give a good account back to five furlongs. BOULDER JACK (2) battled on evenly to just miss the frame first-up over this trip at Echuca. Likely improver from a much better draw. Snitzel filly MURMULLO (10) debuts for Busuttin/Young. Has been to the jump-outs a few times and shows ability. Keep a close eye on the betting.
