He pulled well clear of the rest with the short-priced runner-up when making just about every yard of the running at Warwick last time and a 6 lb rise looks manageable. Carlton has enjoyed a winning spree on the Flat since joining this yard and is of interest on handicap debut in this sphere, while Brindley is third choice ahead of the other remaining contender, Pottersmattyeeehaa.
