HONEY PERFUME (1) has been a late scratching since finishing third fresh up at Scone in a better field nearly 5 weeks ago. She has a good draw, and in this easier company, she is the one to beat. PERASTA (6) has finished third in both of his starts on this track and has been more consistent this prep. He can settle just off the pace and should hit the line strongly. Each way. STARZZABORN (3) is lining up with the blinkers on for the first time and will be suited by coming back in trip to 1000m. A good draw should see her among the hardest to beat. BEST DEFENCE (2) gave a good sight in front on this track last start and will be at his peak fitness third up. Stick with him on an each-way basis. SWEET MARLENE (4) has been trying to win a race for some time and finished runner-up as a favourite at Taree a month ago. She has the pole position this time and should be among the hardest to beat again.
