WESTERN EMPIRE (1) tried to go first-up into The Quokka and found them too sharp over the sprint trip. He's bypassed the Belmont Sprint and lobs here, up to the mile with 42-days between runs. Winkers come off and if he can return to his best form. Watch for him flying late. MAGNIFICENT ANDY (4) just missed over the mile in the Railway last campaign and now gets out to 1600m again this campaign. He was tough in the Belmont Sprint last start when beaten 0.4L from a wide gate. Draws well this time around and can go one better without surprising. YONGA LASS (16) had been flying under the radar this time in work and was strong to the line in the Belmont Sprint last start. Up to the mile is a big tick and she maps to get her chance again under CJP. On the cusp of winning a race and this may be her chance. BUSTLER (3) had his fans in the Belmont Sprint and getting up in trip should suit. Can bounce back. BUCKETS RIDGE (13) has moved well at the trials and the mile fresh is a big tick.

Previously second-up 3rd of 10 at Belmont Park Grad Hcp 60+ on August 10 over 1400m, slow going 1.75 len behind Deferred carrying 56.5kg at $16.
